This position will be to operate and monitor high pressure boilers. Responsibilities & Skills
• Responsible for the monitoring of the Boilers, air compressors and DA tank.
• Ensures the safe operation of the boiler
• Maintain and operator the ventilation systems in the Boiler Room
• Ensure the boiler is kept clean
• Responsible for completing and issuing all necessary and future reports
• Must have a current High Pressure Boiler Operator License
• A minimum of a 3rd Class State of Maine Stationary Engineers license is preferred
• Knowledge & experience with maintaining steam generation systems and support systems (air compressors, both electric and steam driven, chemical addition systems, electrical supply systems, etc.)
• Additional knowledge and experience with general machine shop practices, piping installation and repair, and the ability to troubleshoot steam plant systems is also required
• A clean safety record and the ability to understand and follow EPA/MDEP regulations is also required
• The hours for this position are 2pm to 2am on a rotating 7 day schedule
