Job Description:

Verify all E-stops are operational and all guards in place prior to start up.

Ensure the pre-staged container item numbers are correct by comparing information on the pallet tag (attached to each pallet) to spec sheet (issued by QA).

Remove plastic wrap, cardboard and straps from pallet on containers and dispose of into proper recycle bins/area.

Fully understand operating and safety procedures of depalletizer. As a layer of containers is automatically loaded on the accumulation table, the operator removes the cardboard slip sheets and disposes of accordingly.

Ensure containers are positioned properly and moving down infeed belt correctly.

Operator completes the Container Usage Log, 15 Minute Glass Inspection Sheet and Downtime Report as necessary and submits to Lead or Supervisor at end of shift.

Clean area of any debris, broken glass, etc. throughout the day as needed.

Communicate with Depal Operator stepping in at shift change with any issues experienced throughout the shift (as applicable).

All other duties as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure food safety/quality polices are followed, to report all food safety/quality problems out of his/her realm of responsibility to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Work safe and report all unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe acts to supervisor immediately.
  • Responsible to make sure a good safe wholesome product is produced safely.

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • Manufacturing experience a plus
